About this job
Help keep USI’s Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center running smoothly during evening hours. Supervise student employees, support visitors and recreation programs, and coordinate late-night activities on the Evansville campus. This on-site position pays $13.63 per hour and includes university benefits.
What you will do
Supervise, train, and assign priorities to student employees working the evening shift; review their timesheets.
Support welcome-desk and game-room operations, answer visitor questions, and oversee equipment checkout.
Plan late-night recreation activities and coordinate event scheduling with campus Scheduling Services.
Oversee guest-pass and locker-rental transactions and reconcile the cash register each day.
Monitor the facility and locker rooms, respond to emergencies using the center’s risk-management procedures, and provide backup oversight for intramural activities.
Help set up, maintain, secure, and inventory recreation, bicycle, and outdoor-adventure equipment and supplies.
Prepare requested reports and assist with publications, summer-camp preparation, and other assignments during reduced facility hours.
What you will bring
Required: High school diploma or GED and two to three years of related work experience.
Comfort using computers, word-processing software, spreadsheets, and email.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills; attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and interact professionally with students, families, university employees, and visitors, including during difficult situations.
Preferred: Experience supervising staff, planning programs, or managing facilities.

Schedule
Monday–Thursday, 2:30 p.m.–11:00 p.m.; Friday, 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Occasional weekend work for special events and overtime may be needed. Hours change during summer and other breaks when the facility operates on a reduced schedule.
