1 Scope and operator
This Privacy Policy applies to the EVV Jobs website, accounts, communications, and related services. EVV Jobs is an independent local job board. It is not operated by, endorsed by, or affiliated with the City of Evansville or any government agency.
EVV Jobs is operated by Aesir Industries LLC. In this policy, “EVV Jobs,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Aesir Industries LLC doing business as EVV Jobs. “You” refers to a visitor, job seeker, employer representative, or account holder.
2 Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use EVV Jobs.
Information you provide
- Account and profile information: your email address, name, account type, job preferences, and information you add to your profile.
- Employer and job information: organization details, team membership, employer claims, logos, job listings, worksite information, and information showing that you may act for an employer.
- Resume and application information: resumes, approved profile details, application notes, answers to employer questions, saved jobs, notification choices, and application activity.
- Communications and reports: messages, requests, attachments, and reports you send through EVV Jobs.
- Payment information: details about a job-posting purchase, discount, payment status, or refund. Our payment provider collects payment credentials; EVV Jobs does not receive or store your complete card number, security code, or bank-account credentials.
Information collected through use
- Usage and device information: pages visited, actions taken, referring pages, dates and times, browser and device information, IP address, approximate location, and service diagnostics.
- Location and transit information: locations you enter and location details derived to support distance, worksite, and nearby-transit features.
- Website analytics: Google Analytics collects information about visits and general interactions, such as pages viewed, referral source, approximate location, browser and device type, and a browser identifier. Depending on the settings in effect, it may also measure scrolling, searches, downloads, outbound links, and form interactions, but not the contents you type into form fields. We do not use Analytics on administrative pages.
- Cookies: cookies needed for sign-in, security, and forms, plus Google Analytics measurement cookies.
We do not ask you to create a password. EVV Jobs uses passwordless email links for account access.
3 How we use information
We use information to:
- create accounts, verify identity, and keep the service secure;
- provide job search, saved-job, resume, application, employer, organization, listing, location, and transit features;
- send requested emails and service notices;
- review content, respond to reports, and enforce the User Agreement;
- promote public job listings and process job-posting purchases;
- measure use, troubleshoot problems, and improve EVV Jobs;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access; and
- comply with law and protect users, EVV Jobs, and the public.
Automated tools help us extract resume information for your review and screen job listings for prohibited content. You can review and correct extracted resume information before approving it. These tools do not decide whether a person is qualified for a job; hiring decisions belong to employers.
Public job information may be used to create announcements for EVV Jobs social pages. Candidate, resume, application, private contact, and private worksite information is not included in those announcements.
6 Retention and security
We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce our agreements. Retention varies by the type of information and why we hold it.
Account and profile information may remain while an account is active. Closed and expired jobs and their related EVV Jobs application records are normally removed after one year. Anonymous employer-website handoff totals are kept for up to 90 days. Financial, security, and trust-and-safety records may remain longer when reasonably needed for accounting, fraud prevention, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.
Closing your account removes your active account information, current resume, preferences, saved jobs, and private application history from EVV Jobs. Applications already submitted to an employer may remain as employer hiring records without a live link to your account. EVV Jobs cannot recall information already delivered by email, downloaded by a recipient, sent to an external application service, or published on a social platform.
Google retains Analytics information according to the settings we select and Google's terms. You can delete Analytics cookies from your browser at any time.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed for the nature of the information we hold. No online service can guarantee absolute security. You can help by protecting access to your email account and reporting an unexpected magic-link message.
7 Your choices and privacy rights
You may ask us to confirm whether we process personal information about you and to access, correct, export, or delete that information. You may also ask us to stop a nonessential use of your information or appeal a decision on a privacy request. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request, and limited legal or security exceptions may apply.
You can limit Google Analytics measurement by blocking or deleting Analytics cookies in your browser or by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on described above.
Indiana law may provide additional rights when its requirements apply, including rights related to access, correction, deletion, portability, certain opt outs, appeals, and freedom from discrimination for exercising privacy rights. EVV Jobs does not sell personal data or use it for targeted advertising across unaffiliated services.
Use the authenticated contact page and choose “Privacy request.” Your verified account identifies the information involved. Do not include a magic link or other authentication token. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
8 Children
EVV Jobs is a general-audience employment service and is not directed to children under 13. A person under 13 may not create an account or provide personal information through the service. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child under 13 without required authorization, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
9 Employers and external services
A job may accept an application inside EVV Jobs, receive a resume by email, or direct you to an employer or third-party application site. EVV Jobs identifies the destination before you submit. Employers and external services control their own copies of information and their own privacy practices.
Public job announcements on LinkedIn and Facebook are subject to each platform's terms and privacy practices. Location and transit features may also rely on map services and public transit information. Review an external service's privacy notice before providing information to it.
10 Changes and contact
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the service, law, or our data practices. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects how we use personal information, we will provide notice appropriate to the change.
